Macross Frontier HG 1/100 YF-21

The newest member of Bandai's "HG" model-kit lineup is the YF-21, which competed fiercely with the YF-19 to become the main mecha from "Macross Plus!" The transformation sequence has been simplified into three steps by using replacement parts. Each form features ease of assembly and a wide range of motion. In addition to the Gerwalk, Fighter and Battroid forms, the YF-21's characteristic form and its "limiter release" form can also be reproduced. The head can be detailed with a movable shaft at the base of the neck and a ball joint. The shoulder ensures a wide range of motion by moving the duct part and shoulder joint. The chest features multiple axes of movement, so it can move in a. wide range of directions, including front to back and side to side. The canopy is made with polarized molding, and it can be opened and closed. Effect parts to reproduce its Pinpoint Barrier Punch are included! HI-METAL R VF-0S Phoenix (Roy Focker Use) + QF-2200D-B Ghost

The VF-0S Phoenix, released in 2022 as the first "Macross Zero" item in Bandai's "HI-METAL R" series, is back in a set equipped with the QF-2200D-B Ghost and other armaments! You can enjoy three transformation stages with or without the Ghost; missile launchers and missile pods are suspended under the wings. The tail fins deploy due to the Ghost being carried on its back; they also deploy the same way when in Battroid mode. A missile launcher is equipped on the rear. The Ghost nozzle is movable via a ball joint to provided added thrust for improved acceleration performance! Interchangeable parts are included to equip the Phoenix with landing gear. DX Chogokin YF-19 Excalibur (Isamu Dyson Machine)

The popular OVA "Macross Plus" celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024, and Bandai brings a new version of the YF-19 Excalibur, piloted by Isamu Dyson, to its "DX Chogokin" lineup! It comes with a newly modeled Pinpoint Barrier Punch Effect that's more conscious of the design in the anime, while keeping the body proportions and transformation gimmicks as accurate as possible.

This figure transforms into all three of its forms -- the Battroid, Fighter and Gerwalk. The characteristic forward wing shape is reproduced when in Fighter mode, and it also has a variable-wing gimmick. The double-seat cockpit can be seen with the opening and closing canopy; three cockpit figures are included: two of Isamu Dyson, and one of Jan Neumann. The landing gear is built in, and a gun pod is included too. The thighs feature a movable axis for active posing, and the movable shaft on the lower leg allows wide opening of the legs when in Gerwalk mode. Shin Kudo's VF-0A Phoenix from "Macross Zero" is now part of the "Hi-Metal R" action figure lineup from Bandai, equipped with the QF-2200D-B Ghost as part of its final battle specifications! The A-type's characteristic head, the Ghost, the eight-round general-purpose missile launcher, and the medium-range mobile missile pod are newly modeled, too. The Ghost and some of the armaments can also be transformed into three stages. The VF-0A can transform into all three of its stages, and the Ghost can be attached to each type! DX Chogokin YF-21 (Gard Gore Bowman Machine)

The unusual prototype variable fighter YF-21 piloted by Gard Gore Bowman in the OVA "Macross Plus" finally joins the "DX Chogokin" action-figure lineup from Bandai!

Completely new modeling enables three-stage transformation, and it can also get into its high maneuver mode (limiter release mode) with its limbs purged. 

Familiar equipment such as the FAST pack and gun pod are included. In Fighter mode, the engine nozzle fins move one by one. 

It's also equipped with an original gimmick on its legs, which, when combined with the sliding gimmick of the engine block, helps create the distinctive silhouette of both the Gerwalk and Battroid forms. Canopy parts for the Battrolid form is included too.

Basara Nekki's favorite machine is now available as a DX Chogokin!

VF-19 Kai Excalibur, the Fire Valkyrie piloted by Basara Nekki. For the DX Chogokin version, a new gimmick has been added that allows the cover parts that were left over after transformation to be stored. In addition to the two open and closed versions, a singing face part with original DX Chogokin specifications is included. The shoulder speaker unit also features a linking gimmick. Two pilot figures of Basara Nekki are also included.
